Rob made his Cursillo weekend in February of 2006 at the Abbey in Richmond, and sat at the table of St. Padre Pio. Rob has worked as a mechanical engineer for over 20 years designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial buildings, and is currently with Alliance Engineering.
Rob has stated that everything he did as a Catholic lead up to his Cursillo weekend, and everything he’s done as a Catholic since then has been a result of that weekend. At St. Gabriel Church, Rob helps coordinate the Adult Men’s Formation Group, also known as ‘The Fishermen’. Time permitting, he also works with the music ministry.
Rob and his daughter Julianna have been volunteering the last two years with Tri-Cities Workcamp in Petersburg, VA, and this year Rob will be attending with his son, Cole. The campers provide small-scale home repairs and accessibility modifications to people in need within the Richmond area.
Within Central VA Cursillo, Rob has had the privilege of being on six teams and he was honored to serve as Rector on the 476th Weekend in July 2015.
Rob has also been an active member of the CVCC. He served first as a fourth-day / Ultreya coordinator for three years, and is currently the editor for the Rooster Review newsletter.
